Jenesis, Bella Ballerina

 I've been waiting my entire life for this moment. Being a mom of a little Miss Prissy and getting to do all the girly stuff like ballet is so much fun! With Jenesis being surrounded by boys, she had me worried for a while. She loves purses, but they were always full of Transformers and toy guns! Would she be too much of a Tom Boy to enjoy the sweeter side of humanity? Well, I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised at her enthusiasm in dance, gymnastics, Nailish (nail polish), bows, and other girly stuff. Ballet has become her favorite things to do. We even have ballet practice together while I'm making dinner. This little girl may be on her way to Broadway!

We finally have a blog! But....

So many things have taken place already, I'm not sure if there's anything else to talk about! Well, I guess I can talk about how we've gotten to where we are today. Lets start from January 2011, shall we?:

The themed picture was taken in January 2011 on one of our favorite beaches in GTMO (Guantanamo Bay, Cuba). I was about 5 months pregnant with our newest addition, Jericho. This also marked the 2 year anniversary of our arrival to GTMO on 36 month military orders. I was very excited to be having a baby outside of the United States. What an awesome story would that be to tell his friends when he's older! Well, the medical staff threw a curve ball in the plans in April 2011 (3 months shy of the end of our tour and Johnny's exit from active duty status). I was told to leave the island due to a possible pregnancy complication. Thank God it turned out to be nothing, but I'm glad they took the extra precaution to be sure. I wasn't allowed to return to the island until the baby was 1 month old, which would be June 2011 (1 month shy of end of tour). We scrambled to find a house and our first large family vehicle, the Suburban. I got the flu after Johnny had to return to GTMO for a week and I was left to take care of the kids alone and VERY sick. I then developed preeclampsia (as a result of combination of stress and sickness, I assume) After a very stressful month Jericho was born 3 weeks early on May 10, 2011 weighing 7 lbs 6 oz. Just one day before his daddy's birthday. We went back to GTMO to pack and ship our household goods and car which we reluctantly sold recently because we had outgrown it. After spending a month of packing and farewells, we were headed back to the States with 8 suitcases and 4 youngsters. The dogs were already in the States waiting on us. Soon after, we received our shipment of household goods (212 boxes, to be exact) and we had a birthday party planned for Jenesis in less than 2 weeks. Some how, we managed to get everything in order in time for the party. We went to the pet store to buy more vitamins for the dogs and Jevani fell in love with the cutest little pet rat. Of course we couldn't break his heart and leave the little rat there, so we took him home and named him Cheddar. Well, Cheddar didn't like us as much as we liked him so we took him back to the pet store (much to Jevani's dismay) and we got a pet Guinea pig instead and named him Tuck. Now we are a family  of 9: 2 adults, 4 kids, 2 dogs, and 1 Guinea pig. Soon we'll be getting some chickens and goats! Now Johnny is in the reserves and a civilian police officer. I'm still being a dedicated housewife and busy homeschooling, homemaking, etc, etc... Now here we are... for a few months anyway. It will be time to move again very soon.
